The Urology Group named a Center of Excellence by NAFC

Cincinnati-based Group recognized for exceptional patient satisfaction and top-notch urology care in the Midwest

Cincinnati, Ohio – February 13, 2019

The Urology Group was recently designated a Center of Excellence by the National Association for Continence by Steven G Gregg, Executive Director at NAFC.

The National Association For Continence (NAFC) is pleased to recognize The Urology Group’s dedication to serving the best interests of patients challenged by urologic conditions. The Center of Excellence (COE) designation was largely driven by the achievements in treating urological issues by Dr. Gary Kirsh, president of The Urology Group, and Dr. Rebecca Roedersheimer. Their achievements in delivering quality care is reflected in high levels of patient satisfaction. Patients are looking for quality care that includes treating difficult and embarrassing urologic conditions and The Urology Group has found a way to set the standard in quality care.

The Urology Group is one of the largest single specialty groups of urologists in the United States, with more than 30 board-certified urologists and 11 offices, including a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center in Norwood.

“We could not be more pleased to have received this recognition from NAFC,” said Dr. Kirsh, president of The Urology Group. “It simply proves that we are on track in our ability to deliver the best in urologic care. This will encourage our physicians and staff to work even harder in supporting and treating patients.”

While their main emphasis is on direct patient care, they also participate in clinical research related to urologic problems and enjoy a teaching relationship with the urology residents of the University of Cincinnati Medical School. In 2016, The Urology Group celebrated its 20th anniversary of providing care to patients in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

NAFC’s Centers of Excellence (COE) program was established to recognize centers and facilities that excel in providing bladder and bowel health care to patients, and to assist patients dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence issues in their search for an expert.

The COE designation is based on evidence of training, clinical experience, resources and patient satisfaction statistics that meet established standards. These rigorous standards ensure that each center that is designated a COE is truly exceptional at providing care for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence.

The Urology Group is possibly the finest example of quality care in the field of urology conditions in the U.S. They have a dedicated team of professionals who go well beyond the standard of care. Most important, patients have responded and awarded high levels of satisfaction for the treatment of their conditions. Regardless of which office a patient visits the same high quality of care is delivered.” said Steven G. Gregg, Ph.D., Executive Director at the National Association for Continence. “We are thrilled to honor The Urology Group as they continue to elevate the standard of care in the field of urology.”
